The Grammostola pulchripes is a fantastic Tarantula, with a relatively relaxed temperament and being quite hardy. Their growth rate isn’t a slow as some of their close cousins so adult sizes are achieved in reasonable time. These are a terrestrial Tarantula but will exhibit fossorial tendencies, therefore a reasonable substrate depth of at least 4″-6″ is recommended with various hides throughout the enclosure. As slings this Tarantula will often remain in its burrow but as it grows it’ll be more confident and sit out in the open. With it’s dark colouration and gold flecks, it makes for a great display Tarantula.
