Avicularia purpurea is a beautiful arboreal Tarantula from Peru. Typically fast being an arboreal Tarantula, however it has a very docile temperament which makes it ideal for new keepers of arboreal Tarantulas. This species requires more height than floor space with its enclosure and will benefit from having pieces of vertical cork bark or similar to allow construction of webbing and to create hiding places.
