The Psalmopoeus genus has been a mainstay of the hobby for many years and is as popular as ever. The Psalmopoeus Irminia is a visibly beautiful arboreal Tarantula with a velvety black colouration with vibrant orange markings on the legs and abdomen.
Being an arboreal species a vertical setup is essential, this species will also construct elaborate webbing when ample anchor points are available.
This species has a reasonable growth rate and is generally a good feeder.
It’s temperament is skittish, sometimes defensive. It is also a fast Tarantula with a venom potency that’s stronger than other new world Tarantulas. This is an ideal Tarantula for anyone looking to keep Poecilotheria as their speed and behaviour traits are similar.
